Oral Surgery in the UK is a dental speciality recognised by the General Dental Council. The title Specialist Oral Surgeon is limited to registered dentists included in the specialist list in Oral Surgery. The award of such title will require evidence of satisfactory completion of a broad training in Oral Surgery followed by extensive exams at the Royal College of Surgeons.
